fnatic are the third team confirmed to attend DreamHack Masters Malmö, having been invited by the tournament organizer.
After OpTic qualified for DreamHack Masters Malmö by winning DreamHack Open Summer and Astralis were brought on as the first invited team, it is now fnatic who are announced as part of the tournament's team list.
In its third iteration, DreamHack Masters Malmö will take place on October 1-6 and will have 16 teams playing for a $250,000 prize pool. Having taken place since 2016, DreamHack's flagship event in Sweden returns to Malmö after being held in Stockholm in 2018.
After disappointing runs at the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and ESL One Cologne, fnatic are currently looking down the barrel at the StarLadder Major's Europe Minor. With this announcement, DreamHack Masters Malmö becomes the Swedish side's first confirmed event next season other than competing at ESL's Pro League group stage.
